Website Design & Development
KleinLife has been a pillar in the Northeast Philadelphia community for 50 years. It is a vibrant, family-friendly, inclusive multipurpose agency that provides high-quality, affordable social, educational, and cultural programs, as well as essential health, wellness, and social services to members of all ages, ranging from 2 to 102.
Rooted in Jewish values and guided by the principle of tikkun olam (Hebrew for 'repairing the world'), KleinLife welcomes everyone, regardless of religion, ethnicity, race, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity, or cultural background.
Telling the KleinLife Story
The new KleinLife website tells the KleinLife story - highlighting the importance of organization within Northeast Philadelphia and the impact its programs, services, and activities have on the community. Most importantly, the site encourages support of KleinLife, as it needs significant, sustained financial support.

An Accessible Brand
KleinLife serves community members ranging from 2 to 102 years old and many immigrant families. Its brand elements - color scheme, typography, and imagery needed to be accessible to all. After careful consideration and consultation with the KleinLife team, Lyquix designed an accessible, modern brand that updated the organization’s color scheme, color usage balance, typography, and imagery style.
Restructuring its Programs & Services
KleinLife offers a plethora of social, educational, and cultural programs, as well as wellness, and social services. As part of the Discovery phase of the project, Lyquix completed a full audit of the organization and content of the existing programs and services and provided a detailed plan to the KleinLife leadership team to reorganize the offerings into 5 buckets. The new structure has improved the user experience and number of customer service inquiries.
From the discovery process to the site launch, Lyquix worked with us on best practices for telling our story for multi-generational viewership and guided us through the current design. Thank you, Lyquix!

Custom Block System
To provide KleinLie with maximum flexibility and efficiency for presenting a large amount of content on its website, Lyquix designed and developed a custom, modular block system for the WordPress Gutenberg editor. Our design team used the information gathered from the website audit during the project's Discovery phase to develop all the different types of blocks for the new KleinLife website. Lyquix designers produced high-fidelity wireframes for a select number of pages to ensure the blocks were flexible enough to handle the different types and combinations of content. The wireframes served as a roadmap for the KleinLife content team when developing content for the new pages.
All of the blocks can appear in any order on the page and all blocks are fully responsive. Each block type was designed with flexibility in mind, easily adjusting to various quantities of information and controlled by easy-to-use selectors on the backend of WordPress. Another benefit of the block system is that Lyquix could design the site without having final content. The website's content was written in parallel to its design and development, resulting in a seamless and efficient process.
